PACKAGING

When sending your item for repair, particular attention should be paid to ensure that it is packaged with the utmost care, preferably using the original packaging. If you no longer have this, make sure that there is enough room and use a sturdy box with appropriate padding material. Avoid using large-diameter bubble wrap for heavier products, as it offers insufficient protection. Also, remember to include the necessary administration in your package (address, contact, proof of purchase, description of defect …)

TRANSPORT

The item will be collected maximum 2 days after registration by our trusted carrier company. If your company is situated along the fixed daily route of our own driver, collection will be done by us (Peter).

UPS

The collection of your Marantz, Denon and Classé repairs under warranty is taken care of by Sound United. UPS will collect the items for repair of anyone situated outside the daily route of our driver (Peter). This requires even more careful packaging as UPS uses a sorting system with conveyors, which can have a serious impact on the packaging and your item.
We still see too many items come in damaged during transport because they have been packaged in a box that is too small or because insufficient or incorrect padding materials have been used. Please understand that, in case of bad packaging, the responsibility rests with you and that neither Sound United nor easyRepair can be held liable. Use these guidelines and you will save yourself a lot of hassle.
In the event an item does come in damaged, we will notify you about this via e-mail, with accompanying photos. It is then up to you whether or not you want to submit a claim to UPS. After inspection of the damage, you will receive a quote within 3 working days to have the transport damage repaired (if possible).
